Tom Williams BEng. ARSM
A graduate of Imperial College in Materials Engineering, he worked as an international steels trader and then traded derivatives before deciding to follow his interests in outdoor sports. Tom took up the role as Managing Director of Ark Consultants in 2006.

Andy Williams. BA Hons
Starting at the age of 14 designing tents and having his first trade account at 15 it was clear that Andy was destined to have a business career and particularly in the outdoor trade. He has worked his way up the supply chain. Starting as a retail manager then a retail buyer, national accounts manager, sales manager and eventually his first senior management role as Country Manager to Swedish brand Haglofs which he introduced into the UK in 2000. Andy founded Ark Consultants in 1995 as a sales and marketing agency.
Interests: Walking, climbing, skiing, watersports, music.
Iain is an experienced and qualified purchasing professional with an extensive understanding and grasp of the outdoor, sport and fashion high street retail trades with retailers such as Blacks, Lowdens, First Sport and Active Venture. Practical experience selling into the same markets broadened his insight into many aspects of the retail process. Buying and sourcing have taken him to many parts of the world and given him an understanding of the different ways, culturally, of working in a global market.

Stuart Hamilton: BSc Hons.
A great sportsman since he was at school Stuart excels both on and off the field. A competent rugby player and equally proficient as a marksman. Whilst pursuing a military career in the Royal Marines, where he achieved the rank of Captain, Stuart comes from a very commercial background. Having established a number of entrepreneurial businesses in catering, property development and in other parts of the service sector. He joined the Marines to fulfill his ambition to achieve his “green beret” meeting the exacting standards that this required. His skills include expertise in counter terrorism, security clearance, security management, and risk assessment. Excelling in man management skills his last role before joining Ark Consultants, as a director, was in military recruitment.

Matt Williams BSc Hons.
International Sales Director.
In 2010 Matt was called back from reserve to serve in Afghanistan, his second tour. As a Captain at the Royal Marines he was involved as liaison officer with the Afghan Army. He also has a role with the rank of Major in the Royal Marine Reserve. Joining Ark Consultants in 2008 he has been responsible for building up links with the military, providing a technical consultancy on equipment.
Interests: Running, mountain marathons, climbing, rugby.
Helen Williams CSP.
HR Director/Company Secretary.
An avid Manchester United Fan even though she was born in Yorkshire, Helen is a qualified physiotherapist but unfortunately not in sports physio. She balances the team and keeps it functioning.
Interests: Mountaineering, cycling, climbing, reading.
Sales Team South.
Andy joined us in January 2016. A keen climber and mountaineer having climbed and backpacked in many parts of the world. Mont Blanc being the favourite. Competed in the first British Open Lead Climbing Competition. Now a keen boulderer. Lots of experience in the outdoor trade with brands like Scarpa, Deuter, Camp and many other technical outdoor and mountaineering brands. Andy is responsible for customers in the midlands and southern England

Sales Team North and Scotland.
As with our HR Director Nick is from Yorkshire. He has spent most of his working life in the outdoor industry working with technical brands in outdoor, cycling and watersports. He is a keen cyclist and ornithologist. The latter giving him a keen commitment to conservation. His main focus is looking after customers in the North of England and Scotland.
Interests: Mountaineering, cycling, hiking, birding, music and real ale.
